THP’s zoning,
land use and government relations attorneys
assist clients in procuring the permits and
licenses required to support their development
plans. We work closely with state, county
and local governing agencies to help our clients
navigate the development process and avoid
roadblocks. We have successfully obtained
approvals for numerous mixed-use, institutional,
office, commercial, industrial and residential
projects. Our representation includes
zoning changes, variances, special use permit
applications, site plan reviews, subdivisions,
easements, covenants, eminent domain actions,
litigation and appeals. At the request of
local government officials, civic associations
and business organizations, THP attorneys
have participated in drafting ordinances,
statutes and local legislation relating to
land use.
THP assists clients in obtaining available
public funds to support qualified development
projects. We negotiate agreements between
clients, local and state governments and economic
development entities in effort to secure tax
credits and other economic incentives. We
also have experience with Community Development
Block Grants (CDBG) and obtaining Enterprise
Zone designation and approval and assist our
clients in evaluating and participating in
these programs.
