Elaine Levine practices in the area of wills and estate planning. She has worked with over four hundred families as they make their end-of-life personal decisions and plan for their families’ futures. Elaine is currently studying for her certified financial planning designation to better assist her clients with their long-term planning. She is also a part-time Adjunct Instructor in the CFP course at The Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia.

Elaine is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Harvard majoring in American and East Asian history.

Prior to forming Tatum Levine & Powell (originally Beskin & Levine, LLP) in 1994, Elaine was a senior attorney at Jones Day Reavis & Pogue (Atlanta, 1992-1994), an attorney with the U.S. EPA (Atlanta, 1989-1992), an associate with Kilpatrick & Cody, now known as Kilpatrick Stockton, practicing in the area of commercial finance, real estate and bankruptcy (Atlanta, 1983-1989) and a judicial clerk for Chief Judge Gilbert S. Merritt on the United States Court of Appeals, 6th Circuit (Nashville, 1982-1983).

Elaine is a past president of the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers (GAWL) and has led a women lawyer’s mentor group for the past three years. Elaine is involved with The Temple, previously serving as Chair of the Religious School and on the Temple Board of Trustees. She taught two Literary Leaders classes at her children’s elementary school for seven years and is the past Treasurer and past member of the Executive Committee of the Morris Brandon Elementary PTA. Elaine currently serves as a member of the Pace Academy P2 Board, facilitates parenting classes for parents of teenagers who attend Pace Academy, The Temple, and Westminster School, and she chaired the Pace String Parents Support Group for five years. Elaine was awarded the “Woman of Achievement Award” by the Jewish Federation of Atlanta for her work at The Temple and in the Jewish community.

Elaine and her husband, Jim Levine, have three children. In her spare time, Elaine enjoys her three book clubs, helping with her children’s activities, scrapbooking, exercising with her neighbors, and playing flute.
